At Rapport we take our social responsibilities seriously and demonstrate this in a number of ways

Rapport

We track our road and airmiles monthly with the aim of car sharing and limiting our carbon footprint where possible. We have a policy to buy local and support independent traders and retailers. Our files and records are mainly electronic and we aim not to generate paper for our internal processes.

Chateau du Ludaix

All used and unwanted materials are recycled where possible and we recycle extensively at Chateau du Ludaix – we can get through hundreds of water and wine bottles in a year but we also buy and sell antiques – the ultimate form of recycling. We use a laundry which employs adults with learning difficulties although we have onsite commercial laundry facilities.

Each summer we recruit interns (usually graduates) and we offer help with CV’s and coaching for personal development in between duties.

Speakeasy

Rapport supports Speakeasy, a charity for people with aphasia, an acquired communication difficulty following stroke or head injury. David is Chair of the Trustees; offering strategic direction and overall executive management of the charity and its staff.

You can easily help Speakeasy when shopping online by going to www.easyfundraising.org.uk.  Most major retailers are listed here and will give a percentage of your spend – at no extra to you. Easy Fundraising has a handy toolbar which you can install to make giving your donation even easier. Search for Speakeasy and start spending!
